Dear Expectant Mother,
As prospective grandparents, we’d love to share something really close to our hearts. We’re the proud parents of three incredible children – two through adoption and one biologically. Our journey to parenthood began over 30 years ago, when we were given the greatest gift – we were chosen by a courageous birthmother to love, cherish, and raise her beautiful child. That moment changed our lives forever. It was the beginning of our family built on love, trust, and the incredible strength of someone who chose hope for their child.
Adoption has been one of the most beautiful, humbling parts of our lives. It’s opened our hearts in ways we never expected. As our children were growing up, not a day went by that we didn’t think about the incredible love and bravery of the birthmothers who made the choice to place their beautiful children in our home. Our adopted children knew they were deeply loved, not just by us, but by their birthmother.
When our biological child, Jared, was born, he grew up with that same understanding that he was deeply loved and deeply cherished. He grew up alongside his siblings knowing that our family was built on unconditional love, trust, guidance, kindness, service, and enriching experiences.
Now, all these years later, our biological child, Jared, and his sweet wife, Lindsey, are beginning their own journey into parenthood through adoption. Watching them choose to grow their family in this way has been one of the most beautiful, full-circle moments in our lives. It’s a legacy of love that will continue through their generation – a reminder that family is built not by biology, but by hearts willing to open wide and love deeply.
As future grandparents, we want you to know that your child will be surrounded by the same values we built our family on over 30 years ago; unconditional love, trust, guidance, kindness, service, and enriching experiences. We look forward to sharing family traditions, creating memories filled with laughter, providing a safe and secure environment where your child will feel confident, loved and valued. We want you to know how deeply we already love you and your child. The sacrifice you have made comes from a place of incredible love and strength. We promise you, with complete certainty, your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

A Bit More About Jared's Family
One thing that I love about my family is how diverse we are in what we like to do and with where life has taken us! My sister Rachel is a doctor who lives in Minnesota. She has 2 dogs and loves making yummy meals and cross stitching. She loves spoiling our dog with love and gifts, so I can only imagine how much love Aunt Rachel will have for our child too. My brother Matt works a tech job from home, leaving him room to travel quite a lot. He loves playing paintball and mountain biking. He is very adventurous and will make an amazing uncle.
My parents live close to us here in Utah and have a very welcoming home with lots of children's toys that they have kept for their future grandchildren. Their backyard is spacious and green, leaving room to run, play, and grow.
Christmas is one of my favorite times with my family, because we all love to get together and spend time with one another. Outdoor adventures and camping are also traditions that we have loved and can't wait to start with our own family. Needless to say, there is plenty of room for one more in our family and we are excited to share all of our traditions and love with a new baby!

Dear Expectant Mother,
This is Alex and Sherisse Burt, Lindsey Young’s parents. We have been married for 29 years now and raised four children the youngest graduating high school this year. We can’t even begin to tell you how excited we are for the chance to be your sweet babies grandparents.
Just a little bit about Lindsey while she was growing up. She has one of the sweetest disposition you could ever meet. At a young age she has had the ability to see other people’s needs and know when they might be struggling and wants to help. She has always desired to have a family of her own. When Lindsey met Jared, her eyes lit up. But more important is the way that he looks back at her. They both truly adore each other.
These two have both been raised in homes that focused on the family and will truly be amazing parents.
Alex and I are so excited for them and for us. We can’t even express how excited we are to play, babysit ,change stinky diapers and do whatever it takes to support Lindsey and Jared and their parenthood journey. A million thank you’s would never be enough to thank you for adding such a precious little one into our family.

A Bit More About Lindsey's Family
Growing up, our family loved spending time together outdoors—whether it was camping, hiking, backpacking, or taking trips to Bear Lake. These experiences are some of my fondest memories, and I can’t wait to continue these traditions with my future family.
My parents, Alex and Sherisse, live just an hour away and have a home that I know our future child will absolutely love visiting. They’ve been eagerly anticipating the day they get to welcome a little one into their lives!
My brother Aaron is studying at Utah State and lives nearby, so we’re fortunate to see him often and enjoy time together whenever we can. Ali, my incredibly talented sister, is finishing her cosmetology school and is amazing at both nail art and hairstyling—I’m so proud of her! My younger brother Eric is about to graduate high school with his associate’s degree, which is such an exciting milestone for him.
We’re lucky to have all of our family close by, and we’re so excited for the day when Jared and I can introduce a new little one to our loving, supportive circle. Our family and extended family can’t wait to welcome them with open arms!
