Hi, I'm Lindsey! I’d love to give you a little glimpse into who I am. I graduated from Utah State University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education, along with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. I’ve always had a passion for working with children, and I’ve known from a young age that I wanted to pursue a career where I could truly make a difference.
Right now, I’m working in Customer Service at Utah State Facilities, but my goal is to become a Speech Technician in the near future. I'm excited about where that path will lead and the opportunities it will bring to support and connect with kids in meaningful ways.
If you can’t tell already… I love animals! I’ve always had dogs by my side growing up, and our future child gets to experience that same joy and companionship. I also grew up playing lots of sports, including swimming and lacrosse. More recently, I’ve been going to spin classes—which has been such a blast!
Music has always been a big part of my life. I play the flute and guitar, and I love to sing. Our child will have the opportunity to explore their interests and discover what they’re passionate about, just like I have.
I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people in my life. Spending time with my friends and family brings me so much joy! In my free time, I love playing with my dog, hanging out with my husband, or curling up with a good movie.
When I’m feeling bored or need a little pick-me-up, I’ll pull out my guitar and sing a few songs—it always lifts my spirits. I’ve also started learning to scrapbook, which will to continue as our family grows.
And this might be a little nerdy, but I absolutely love painting miniatures that my husband, Jared, and I use to play board games. I’ve discovered I have a funny little talent for painting tiny details! I’ve always loved art in many forms, including charcoal sketching and painting.
A couple of years ago, I picked up gardening, and it’s become one of my favorite hobbies. I dream of someday moving into a house with a beautiful garden where I can grow flowers, vegetables, and lots of happy memories.
Lindsey has to be the most kind person that I've ever met. She is very caring and empathetic, and has an ability to connect with many people and understand what they are going through.
She is also a very hard worker. She has been an amazing example to me of how hard work can achieve great things, and her optimistic attitude can be very contagious.
Lindsey is going to be an amazing mother. She is gentle and kind, and I know that any child placed with us will benefit from her amazing capacity for patience and love. As Lindsey nurtures and supports our child to grow and explore who they are, they will become the best person that they can be.
